CUSTOM TANNING PRICES

* Due to factors beyond our control that can affect the hide before it gets to our shop, all tanning is done at individual's own risk

* Prices are estimates only and subject to change

* Prices are divided into 3 separate categories to help you determine the most accurate estimate for your particular skin.

Dried & salted refers to a skin that has been professionally skinned, fleshed as described in our prepping instructions, salted it with a fine salt, and dried. Ears, noses, and lips must be turned and inside paws free of bones and flesh. This estimate only includes tanning price and fees for any extra fleshing (if required) will be additional.

Frozen/fresh refers to a skin that is freshly skinned or frozen after skinning. This is our most common category of skins. This estimate includes the shop time fee for fleshing the full hide & boning out the tail when present, and turning the ears, noses, and lips for lifesize skins.

Full Prep refers to a skin that is freshly skinned or frozen after skinning but requires some specialized fleshing and skinning in difficult areas to prepare it for a taxidermy or rug mount tanning. This estimate includes the shop time fee for fleshing the full hide, removing the bones from the tail and all 4 paws/hooves, when present, removing (caping) the skull, when present, and turning the ears, noses, and lips.

Antelope,

Antelope hairs are hollow: avoid contact with blood as it stains more than other species.

The hairs are also extremely lightly attached to the hide so be extra gentle with handling your hide and freeze or salt/dry it within 2 hrs of it coming off the animal ideally.
